Hello!
ReplyDeleteHere is my recording about the book I read http://vocaroo.com/i/s1IYhs9fAtPW
Hello Laura!
DeleteHope you're having a nice week so far. As I've said previously, I read Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde's book so I had no idea about your book, that is called "Robinson Crusoe". Even though the audio volume was pretty low, I tried to understand as much as I could. I think that you summarized well the adventures of this young and impulsive wanderer called Robinson Crusoe and I got the general ideas of your book. Next time try to speak a bit louder please so we listen to every single detail you say. Other than that, I think you did a good job, bye bye :)
Hi Laura.
DeleteI just listened to your recording. I read The strange case of Dr. Jekyll and I was curious about your book. I think the main events that you mentioned were very interesting, maybe when I have the time, I'll read it. Even though, what I really liked were your comments at the end, your interpretations of the book. As Charlie said, it was a bit hard to understand because of the low volume, but I got some aspects which I found important: Courage and determination, hard work and friendship which as long as I understood, helped Robinson Crusoe to survive for 28 years in an island.

DeleteHello laura.
DeleteI hope that you have a wonderful day. It is amazing that we read the same book and could share opinions about this. In my opinion this is a complete summary and let me say that your analysis at the end does your work very professional. I feel so proud of you because you improved your pronunciation in many aspects but there are some words that I would like that you were checking. For example: slaves, sure, saw. Also, try the next time to speak higher because it was complicated to me listen it. Your work was excellent. Good job girl. Congratulations.
Hi Laura! :) First of all I want to congratulate you for your good job. I understood everything clearly and I think your summary was very developed. I haven't read the book yet, but I could picture myself a very complete idea of it. However, there were some words you didn't pronounce correctly for example lived, domesticated, life, saw, and managed. Apart from that, everything was very good. Great great job!
DeleteHi. Here is my recording :)
ReplyDeletehttp://vocaroo.com/i/s1vJFznRLDjU
Hey Gil girl!
DeleteHope you're doing fine. I really liked your recording because it shows that you read the whole book. Since we've read the same book I would say that we have like a similar approach to the summary of the story. I know that we've left out a lot of details about the story, but trust me I tried to tell the story with a lot of details but I gave up, because my recording was around 26 mins or some sort. I think that you touched on the main points of the book, and it was well summarized. Good job Gil, keep it up.

DeleteShess!
DeleteOnce again you have done an amazing job here. I can say that I liked your recording because it seems that you understood from the beginning the whole theme and plot that the book presents. Unlike me, I think that you could really summarize the book perfectly. I focused on "summarizing" things that looked important to me to tell in my audio, but, if you ever go and see my record you'll see like "15-18" minutes of recording. I must say I couldn't make it shorter because what I did was to comment a lot of things (I actually tried to "doctor" the audio file so I could make it a little bit shorter, but I failed) so, in other words, you did the task perfectly, you touched the climax, the solution to the problem and other stuff... However, at the beginning I had to push my headsets really hard (literally speaking) into my ears in order to hear your introduction. I guess the volume was a little bit low, but that doesn't mean I couldn't understand you at all.
Coming back to the important thing, I must congratulate you for your amazing job girl. See you then...
Hi, Gil.
DeleteHope you're fine. I've heard your recording and I have to say you made a really good job. I've read that book so, I know you've explained so well, you presented the main parts of the book in a good and short way and we could understand so well what was happening with the main characters. I think we made the same problem and it's to stop in parts where there's no period, bit I think this happens because when we're reading, we're so focused in the pronunciation. But, in general, the recording was so great, I always love your job and the effort you put on homework.
Hi guys, hope you're having a good day
ReplyDeleteHere's the recording about the book I read, hope you guys enjoy it as much as I did: http://vocaroo.com/i/s1Yhs6LUlpSk
Yo yo boy!
DeleteI listened to your recording and as I've read the same story I can tell that you read the whole novel. I think that you summarized it very well. The main events are in the correct chronological order and the plot is very clear. I think we got the same main idea and in case you didn’t know, the name of the mental disorder presented by the author is called: dissociative identity disorder which I find very interesting because as you know, I like everything related to psychological problems. This book is one of my favorites and that’s why I recommended it to you. I'm glad you liked it :)
Ps: Rabito’s bark :v
Hellooo my friend with .ext... (expensive taste)
DeleteAhm, I decided to listen to your recording since I already knew you had read the same book as I did, so I just wanted to listen how you understood the whole book itself (I mean, the main plot, the climax, the ending, etc) And guess what, you were really accurate. I also wanted to say that you summarized very well, with important details, a little bit of the story that mainly helps to understand what you're explaining. Dude, it seems that you put a lot of effort in this and the result was amazing. Good job Charleses. And as you say: "Keep it up":v byee!

DeleteCharls, Charls! I listened your recording and I really enjoyed it. I really liked your intonation and the way you put all the elements of novel; as you already know, I choose the same book and after I’ve read it, I can say that you read the whole novel as I. You could capture the essence of book and told the events in the right order and with important details; I mean, you’ve explained the essential without unnecessary events, you put your best in this, as Tina would say “with soul life and heart”, Good jog Charls.

ReplyDeleteHi guys, this is my summary. The audio would have noisy because the place were i record it, but finally i have it.
http://vocaroo.com/i/s12EeGqvduRq
Hey Andrés
DeleteI read the same book and I think you make a lot of emphasis in every single detail.of the story which could be omitted without interfering the course of the story itself.
Afterwards I consider that you could just mention the most revelant events and go straight to another one.
Another thing is the duration of your summary it took you so much to tell the story and in some moment it turned into a difficult thing to follow.
But despite all of this you made a good job, I have to say that is awesome you do this without having an script... You're really improving your speaking skills.
Good job see later
Hello Andres,
DeleteI want to say that you did a good work, although the audio was so long and it can be a bit bored for the listeners, but you made an understandable story and what is about it. I think that you could have omitted some details and only tell us about the most important events in the novel. I would like to read the story some day because I found interesting and also because I like to read stories related to animals. Thank you to share your summary.
Good job!
See you then.
Hi guys. Here's my recording. I hope you get to read The strange case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde's book.
ReplyDeletehttp://vocaroo.com/i/s1YS4kwwBSld
Floooooor! You girl, you did an excellent job, I liked your recording a lot, especially because at the beginning you started with mentioned who’ve been written the story (I think it is important e.e and I didn’t do it :’v), that was useful for the person that haven’t read the novel, it put him/her in context. You told the events of novel in the right chorological order, with extremely details and I liked it, because it remained to me what had happened at the time I was reading it; It was like a movie in mt head. I really enjoyed listening your recording, well done Flawa.
DeleteHi:) I want to tell you how much I liked your recording. The way you got to summarize the story was excellent. Your summary was very clever, organized, precise and great. You presented the main characters in the way it should've been. You described what you needed to in order to make us have all the elements we needed to understand the story. It was so clear, that a person who hasn't read the book yet, could perfectly make him or her self a good global idea and would definetly want to read it. Great job, I loved it. :)
DeleteHello Jessica, I haven't read the book but I've read about it in another book XD so I've already had an idea of what it's about. I think you did a really good job with the summary because it was very clear, your pronounciation is quite good too so it's nice and easy to listen to. I found very interesting that idea of duality and I think it is true until some point. What do you think?

Hey guys!!! Here's is the summary I made of The Great Gatsby. I want to apologise for my voice, I'm not feeling very good today. Hope you like it though. =)
ReplyDeletehttp://vocaroo.com/i/s1zEzXHBfpQ5
Hello Nathalia!
DeleteI really liked you audio, even though you apologised for your voice, I think it sounded perfectly. Talking about the content, I think you did a very well summary of the main events and made sure to talk about all the important characters, giving information about who they were and the place the took in the story.
Good job!
Hi Nath,
DeleteThe first thing I want to tell you is that your voice, rythm and ronunciation were really good, there were just few words that were a little bit difficult to understand due to the volume of the audio or for your british pronunciation. Anyways, you did a good job describing the places where the actions were happening, describing the characters and summarizing the story.
Great job Nath!
http://vocaroo.com/i/s1uZ0lKhuQYn
ReplyDeleteHey, here's my summarize i hope you can understand. =)
Hey, here is my short summary that I made for you. Let me know what you do you think.
ReplyDeletehttp://vocaroo.com/i/s1zpKALETLVR
Hello Andrea!
DeleteFirst, I would like to say that it seems as if you were able to summerize the primar events of the story very well, you were very punctual and brief. Also, mentioniing the characters and describing them a little bit was very helpful to kinda have a more general idea of what the story is about. It looks like you didn't give anything away in your summary, which probably was a good strategy so people can have enough interest and go check the book by themselves.
Good job!
Hello Andrew
DeleteI have to say that I liked how you summarized the. Whole story into a short audio recording without missing an important aspect of your story.
I just wanted to ask you if the main characters were only crusoe and the indigean, because you described them pretty detailed but you didn't mention another character.in that way.
Any way it seemed to me that you were well prepared I liked your tone of voice but I must be carefully when pronouncing tricky words like those with a ed-ending.
Good job, see ya
Hi Paola, I consider you shared us a good summary, it gave me some ideas about the book you chose and it sounds very interesting. I think I will add it in my list of the books I want to read. Also, I want to say that you should be careful with the pronunciation of the ‘TH sound’ because in some words you pronounced it like ‘d’, for example in the word: ‘everything’ the correct pronunciation is /ˈɛvrɪθɪŋ/ this situation happens the same to me, most of the times I have to deal with the pronunciation of this sound.
DeleteGreat job. :)
Hello Andrea,
DeleteI hope you are well, as you know I am reading the same book as you (Robinson Crusoe) and I really like your recording because it has other details that maybe I omitted or I summarized in other way. I think our recordings can be completed in a good way in order that other people can understand better Crusoe’s adventures. So as we well know this novel has many details to tell and that makes it important and interesting story and it is obviously that for this task we couldn’t tell everything, but you did a good summary.
Good job!
Bye :)
Hey guys, here's my record of The strange case of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde. I couldn't use vocaroo (again) so I decided to upload my audio file on the youtube platform . Hope you like it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uT30d88ut6k
ReplyDeleteHi, Juan. I think that you have a great speaking and because of it I understood very well the plot of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde. I had read the story before, I didn't remember the whole thing, but you helped me to. You summarized the events correctly considering that you gave the main details about each one and also the details you told about de characters were accurate. About the story, It's so mysterious and interesting, the ending is shocking but good, It was funny you thought that Mr Hyde was Dr Jekyll's son hahaha no way.
DeleteSo, I liked your recording and good luck with the essay.
Yo Bff
DeleteWell, I just want to congratulate you, because the pronunciation, the wway you spoke and the quality of the audio were really good. You didn't hesitate that much and didn't confused yourself while recording the audio. It was easy to understand, you explained every chapter and followed the story line. Good description of the events and characters.
Nice job 'tocaio'

Isabella.
DeleteYou did a great job, Really. Your summary was amazing(I listened it until the end) your way of narrating it does easier to understand what you want to say. I have to congratulate you because the information that you give was important for the comprehension of the reading. Also I like very much the dates and the places that you give us because help us to made an idea and it is easier to imagine the whole story. You tell us the story very natural and very slow. The only warning that I do to you is, take care with the "s" that sound as a whisperer and sometimes is so annoying . But don't forget, your summary was excellent.
Congratulations.
See you later.
Hi Andrea, thank you for commenting my post!
DeleteI'll be careful with the "s" sound, I also found it annoying when I listened at the recording but for obvious reasons I didn't record it again. I really appreciate you listening my recording, see you in class!
Hello!
ReplyDeleteHere is my recording the story I read: "The yellow wallpaper", I hpor you understand.
http://vocaroo.com/i/s1IDJm9RMKsf
Hi Lisy.
DeleteI liked the summary you did of the novel you read because I could understand everything. I found some pronunciation mistakes: Husband /ˈhʌzbənd/, Paid /peɪd/ and Evade/ɪˈveɪd/. You need to pay attention to the time you are using to tell the story, sometimes you mix them and that can confuse the person who is listening to you. Finally, you said “ this is the main claim of the story”. I think in this case, it wouldn’t be a claim but the “plot” of the story.
I hope my comment helps you. You did a good job. :)
I hope, sorry
ReplyDeleteHello guys!
ReplyDeleteThis is my recording about the summary of the book I read.
http://vocaroo.com/i/s1cXIJPlqoYy
Hello Lina!
DeleteI was listening your recording and firstly a want to say that your voice was clear, not to loud not to low, was perfect that why I could understand it. Secondly, you presented the information Precisely and concisely, with the exact words. You didn't have too much brakes and when you did it, you continue with the story without lose the line. Now about the book, Herman Hesse always write novels in way very filosophical, at least for us, the enviroments are not too familiar, for example the steppes and with amazing description about it. And his novel present some supposed logical arguments that try to convince me. When you were summarysing the novel I imagined the structure of the novel and the things you said, the characters and how the man was, a kind of werewolf. Lina thank you for the overview you were great.
Hi Lina :)
DeleteYou presented the main ideas of the book in a good way, so it gave me an overview of the book once more. You did a good description of the characters, that is to say, how they were, what they did and how they were connected with Haller. However, I would like to remark you that you forgot about something very important, in my opinion, which is the idea of suicide that Haller had during a long time because of his loneliness and isolation.
By the way, was it Hermine or Maria Harry’s lover? :p
Finally, I would like to tell you that you should pay attention to the –ed endings.
Good job, Lina!
Good evening guys, here is my recording. I hope you like it :3

DeleteHi pucky, I just listened to your recording, I was pretty excited because we read the same book so I wanted to know how you understood the story, I can see you enjoyed the book, which is amazing because you are complicate AF when choosing books. I can see you read the whole book, your summary is well done, you talked about the main events in a chronological order. Moreover, you named the main characters which is also important. You did a good job. I hope you had enjoyed the book.
DeleteWith love,
Kathe
Hi baby!!
DeleteJust finished to listen your recording and it's obvious that you read the whole book and understood it. You gave us a really good summary of it and presented each character. I could understand the plot of the story and the way it develops. Nice pronunciation, rythm and quality. Good job.
Have a good night!

Les, your voice was appropriate to understand your recording.
DeleteAs you know I read the same book, so I found your summary really significance because your general description of the plot allowed me to review some details of the story. Another aspect that I considered of your recording is when you said that the book is complicated, yes Les I agree with you due to it needs a concentrated reader but he cannot understand the whole story. So, there are some things of it that I would like to discuss with you, especially the question you made me in your comment.
Nice summary.:)
Hello guys. Here's my recording about I read. It was "The strange case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde.

Hello, Daniel
DeleteThank you for sharing your summary with us. You did a good job!
At the beginning it was difficult to me to understand the story, because you didn’t gave us a character’s description, so I got lost but at the end of the story I could understand everything :) It looks like an interesting story and I hope you have liked it!
I would like to add that you should pay attention to the pronunciation of some words like: Shows, must, cloth and control. Also to the –ed endings of some verbs, for example: Loved, started and trusted.
I hope you have a good night
Hi everyone. This is my recording, I'm sorry for the noise but it was really hard to avoid:( Thanks for listening and have a lovely night.
ReplyDeletehttp://vocaroo.com/i/s1aj3by7azme
Hi, Lau.
DeleteI hope you're doing great. I've heard your recording I didn't care the noise because you talked louder than the noise so, I heard you so clear. Well, I liked your recording. I really love your pronunciation because I can understand you everything and, you know, I have a lot of problems with listening comprehension. I can say you read the whole story because you narrated so well, you presented the main ideas, you mentioned all the main characters so well and because we were talking about the book a few days ago. I loved you've read this book because I could talk with you about it, you know I loved this story.
I don't more comments so, I like your job.
I don't have*
DeleteHello, Lau.
DeleteI think you did a great job, you summarized the book properly, you talked about it like you own the book and you analized it well, I also liked the fact that you mentioned the date in which the book was written.
I noticed some misteakes:
1: Enfield is not just one of Utterson's friend, he is actually his cousin.
2: You said "this was really surprise" and it is "this was realliy surprising"
3: The person who witnessed the murder was not a "normal girl" she was a maid.
4: Dr Jekyll does not drink "poison" to transform himself into Hyde, he drink a "potion"
Hey there, here's my recording for 'The Outsiders' Hope you like it

Hey kiddo!!!
DeleteI liked your recording. I think you did a great job summarising the book, I haven’t read it but the story was clear for me. I liked the way you described the characters and their actions, it was with so many details, that I easily could imagine the situation crystal clear. Maybe I can borrow the book, I feel like reading it, it sounds interesting. By the way, I liked your rhythm and your pronunciation, it is easy to understand. Good job! =D
Hi guys ♥
ReplyDeleteThis is my audio I hope you like it, sorry i know the quality is not that good TT__TT
http://vocaroo.com/i/s0pJq0Ct50zx
Hi KT.
DeleteI liked your recording. Your voice is really clear. I could understand every word you said. It was really interesting to see how told the story because as I read the same novel, I could compare your point of view to mine. I found some little mistakes of pronunciation: testament /ˈtɛstəmənt/ and publish /ˈpʌblɪʃ/. You had troubles with this word, so I looked for it: potion /ˈpəʊʃən/. I also noticed that you need to work on the pronunciation of the "s" in the singular of the third person and keep in mind the time you are using, so you don't get them mixed. In one part of the recording you said "a cause of". It sounds really weird to me and I’m not sure it exists xD. I would say "due to" or "because of". Finally, you said “Mr. Utterson’s secret” when you were talking about the letter that Lanyon had written. I think you were referring to Dr. Jekyll’s secret.
You did a very good job summarizing the main events. I’m sure that if I hadn’t read the book, I would have understood anyway. :3

ReplyDeleteHello Mario, I also read the Great Gatsby and I kind of hate it and love it at the same time, because I think it is so unfair when someone does so many things for the person he loves and everything turns out so bad. About your recording I think your pronounciation was neat and that you mecioned the principal events of the novel.
Delete
